Staying at Manor Farm

Staying at Manor Farm is a relaxing break.

Up to 4 guests stay in the private, self-contained rooms above the kitchens and only one booking is accepted at a time. There is one double bedroom and a twin bedroom with a sitting room.

Colourful old rugs cover quality new carpet, soft tapestry cushions sit on the chairs and sofas. New silk curtains frame the old Yorkshire sliding sash windows and hang from hand-made painted poles.

The cotton and linen sheets on the bed have handmade lace-edged pillow cases and feather eiderdowns sit on top of the duvets.

A small bathroom houses a deep, old, cast iron bath providing hot water from the Aga in the kitchen below.

Make yourself a cup of tea or coffee with fresh milk, pick up a book or magazine and relax in a world gone by, with just the farm sounds all around.

Come down for breakfast served in the kitchen, cooked by the Aga and tuck into fresh seasonal fruit, yoghurt, our own apple juice, “Side Oven” muesli and bread, homemade honey, marmalades and jams and then sample proper dry cured bacon, rare breed sausages, excellent black pudding our own Buff Orpington eggs and all the trimmings (including kidneys by choice).

Enjoy a stroll round the gardens before heading off for the day.

Price: £35 per person, per night.
